Silverbear are a market leading software company headquartered in Guildford, Surrey providing membership management software. Their CRM solutions built upon Microsoft Dynamic 365 have been used by more than 100 organisations to manage more than 6 million members and to manage over 1,000 conferences and events.

• Role was an even mix of UX and UI.
• Sole responsibility for planning, designing and implementing user journeys through product components, and designing and implementing custom styling across all the individual customer portals, events systems and CRM back-end.
• Utilised Balsamiq for low-fidelity wireframes and Adobe XD for high-fidelity.
• Continually worked closely with the development team to implement new features in the product, as well as being the main point of contact with each customer to implement their vision for their custom portal, including frequent on-site meetings, workshops and roundtables.
• Developed a custom framework to create CMS (DotNetNuke) skins, written in ASP.NET/HTML/SCSS/JS with extensive focus around accessibility and responsive design for Silverbear Membership (Silverbear’s online membership management software.
• Notable customers include: Institute of Directors, Royal College of Nursing, Kew Gardens, Royal Horticultural Society, Confederation of British Industry.

2007 - 2011

Modules included: Java, Python, Haskell, PHP, JavaScript, UNIX scripting and MySQL.

Dissertation consisted of a PHP/JavaScript online booking system for the University Library’s group study rooms (including a hand-coded calendar system). Required familiarity with the jQuery JavaScript library, as well as coping with the security concerns working within the bureaucratic confines of a large institution.

E-Business Plus was an established web design company based in Surrey. The company is no longer trading.

• Personally designed and built multiple sites.
• Extensive use of HTML/PHP/Javascript/CSS.
• Close interaction with a range of customers, both internal and external, tailoring web sites to their specifications and requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring projects were complete on time, to specification, on budget.
